Horrible takedown attempt by Lugnunum or perhaps it was just good defense by Russian, which made it look bad.
Russian swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Lugnunum tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Russian defends well and Lugnunum ends up having to push Russian into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Russian throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lugnunum connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Russian definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Russian takes a swing at Lugnunum's ribcage but misses.
Lugnunum fails with the takedown.
Big Russian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Herminos Lugnunum.

Sucka lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Smith enables Lugnunum to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Smith manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Smith has momentary wrist control but Lugnunum slips an elbow through the middle.
