Quan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kruger defends it nicely.
Kruger counters with a body kick.
Quan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kruger was well out of range. Poor timing from Quan.
Kruger shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Quan as he avoids it easily.

Quan closes the distance and clinches.
Quan is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Ming Quan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Freddy Kruger.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kruger is fighting off a takedown attempt but Quan is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kruger to the mat. Kruger regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.#SUB2#

Kruger on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Quan in particular looking to stall.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kruger can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kruger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Quan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've been hearing good reports from Quan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
