Navarro tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hopson is able to avoid easily.
Hopson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Navarro slips a jab and a cross from Hopson.
Navarro takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Navarro misses with a leg kick
and Hopson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Navarro attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Navarro thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hopson tries to counter by clinching up but Navarro breaks away and moves out of range.
Navarro looks winded!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Hopson counters with a huge left! Navarro is in big trouble! He's backing up but Hopson isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Navarro from any more damage. A dominating finish by Hopson!

Abakumov scores with a takedown into Navarro's guard.
Navarro is looking to stand up but Abakumov isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Abakumov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Navarro can't keep his opponent in guard - Abakumov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Abakumov works his way into full mount!
Navarro wants to control but Abakumov is having none of it.
Navarro is in a horrible position here. Abakumov smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Navarro is bucking up trying to escape but Abakumov cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Abakumov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Navarro looks a forlorn figure.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Abakumov is landing with some decent strikes but Navarro is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
