Somchai changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Knuckles shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Knuckles darts in trying to clinch
and Somchai counters with a series of strikes. Knuckles will be more careful next time no doubt.
Knuckles avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Knuckles gets control of Somchai's arms and successfully pulls guard. Knuckles will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Somchai drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Somchai jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
