Gere lands a left and a right that send Berzina crashing to the mat, dazed. Gere thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#ROC#Berzina is rocked!#CUT#It looks like Edvards Berzina has been cut.

Gere closes the distance looking for a takedown. Berzina stuffs it but Gere still has hold of him. Gere picks Berzina up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Gere slams Berzina to the floor and that's really hurt Berzina - he doesn't know where he is! Gere throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Gere lands an elbow.
Gere knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chong on the ground.
Gere is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Chong will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB#
Gere wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Chong, who protects the arm well.

Chong takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
You can see the frustration on Chong's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Gere manages to break the clinch.
Chong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gere tries to avoid it but Chong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gere to the ground. Gere escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gere will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Gere scores with a big shot! Chong's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Chong! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
