No luck for Fighter with that takedown attempt.
Fighter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fighter tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ryu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ryu doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Fighter tries to clinch but Ryu moves away #TD2#
and Ryu counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Ryu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fighter is trying to control but can't.

Fighter has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Ryu escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Ryu!
