Maeda shoots in looking for a takedown. Macho tries to sprawl out of it but Maeda keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Macho manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Macho misses with a double jab.
Maeda dodges the punch combination from Macho.
Danga de danga de dang - Macho scores with a four punch combination!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Macho throws a right hand that Maeda ducks under and follows up with a left that Maeda also avoids with ease.
Macho lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Maeda backs up against the cage.
Macho throws the kick towards the body but Maeda avoids it.

Maeda goes for a double leg but Macho avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Macho continues to drive forward.

Maeda avoids the head kick by Macho.
Maeda fails with a takedown attempt.
Macho unleashes a big counter combination but Maeda bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitsuyo Maeda. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Macho throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oh Maeda is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Maeda takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Macho looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Maeda walks into a straight right hand from Macho.
Maeda tries to clinch but Macho is having none of it.
Macho connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Maeda tumbling to the canvas! Macho pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Maeda was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Da Macho!

Blake manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Maeda on his heels. He'll look to pass Maeda's guard now, I'm sure.
Maeda being controlled here, momentarily.
Maeda might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Maeda is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR#
Maeda is looking to advance position but Blake won't allow it.
Blake keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blake has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Blake trying to control the position but Maeda manages to sink in the hooks. #SUB#
Maeda working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Blake is doing well to defend. Maeda seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Blake is forced to tap and this one is over!

A relieved looking Mitsuyo Maeda thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Dasnkvonburg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Maeda sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dasnkvonburg somewhat.
Dasnkvonburg is trying hard to land a takedown here. Maeda sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. #TD#
Maeda closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Maeda lands in his opponent's guard.
Maeda stands and throws Dasnkvonburg's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB#
Maeda wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dasnkvonburg, who protects the arm well.
You can see the frustration on Dasnkvonburg's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Maeda is working to tighten his grip on Dasnkvonburg's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dasnkvonburg has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Maeda is really squeezing tight and eventually Dasnkvonburg passes out! Maeda breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
