Hattori lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kuti circles away quickly and effectively.
Kuti connects with a body shot that sends Hattori's belly button to the back.
Kuti throws a lazy right hand but Hattori sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kuti's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hattori connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kuti scrambles back to his feet.

Kuti is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Hattori flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Hattori is out cold! Kuti holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Yakamito dips to his left and cracks Hattori with an uppercut!
Hattori takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Dead Pool really struggled with his weight cut for this fight. After coming in at 189.5, he had two hours to cut the additional weight. He was unable to do so and as a result, his fight with Hanzo Hattori was cancelled.
So, the belt remains unclaimed. Very disappointing for everyone involved! |
