The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bateman shoots in looking for a takedown. Muise tries to sprawl out of it but Bateman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Muise manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bateman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
It seemed like Muise was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Muise swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bateman.
Muise lands with an overhand left.
Muise's corner calls for a 1-2. Muise obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Lionel misses with a takedown attempt - Muise sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Lionel instigates a clinch.
Muise lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Lionel misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Muise.

A nice right hand lands inside from Muise.
Lionel is looking for a takedown.
Lionel drops down looking for an ankle pick but Muise pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leo Lionel. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lionel tries to keep at a distance but Muise has taken the fight into the clinch.
Muise looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
