Mereani doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Anderson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Anderson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Renerye Sale Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anderson throws a right hand that Mereani ducks under and follows up with a left that Mereani also avoids with ease.

Anderson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mereani sprawling to the canvas! Mereani rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Anderson finish him?!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mereani shoots in but no luck this time.
Anderson connects with a stiff jab that staggers Mereani - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
