Nadir pounces like a tiger and cracks Cupido with a vicious hook! Cupido is down but not out! Nadir follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Abed Nadir!
After the fight, Abed Nadir was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Cupido is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We've been hearing reports that Akinefenwa has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Cupido throws a body punch but Akinefenwa moves out of range.
Cupido throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sloppy strikes from Cupido. Those never looked like landing.

Cupido lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Cupido celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
