And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Chris Bugbee!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Chris Dean and Ben Hemmingworth.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
No luck for Rita with that takedown attempt.

Rita decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Rita has control of Bugbee's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bugbee regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bugbee is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
We've been hearing good reports from Rita's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Otori lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bugbee has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bugbee and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Bugbee turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Witt off and cradles Bugbee's limp body as Witt celebrates with his corner.

Kirkland's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
