#R1##CL2# Lee pushes Kneipp up against the cage in a clinch.#BC# Kneipp breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. #TD2# Excellent takedown into side control there by Lee. A lull in the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kneipp some visible discomfort.
#T1# Lee remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lee cracks Kneipp with a big right hand but Kneipp just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Kneipp tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lee wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Kneipp tries to escape but Lee is in control. Lee content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. #T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kneipp wants to get back to his feet. Kneipp is letting Lee control him for a moment. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.#CL# Kneipp has Lee up against the cage in a clinch.
#T3# Kneipp tries to pull guard but Lee forces him back to his feet, against the cage.#TD2# Lee has hold of one of Kneipp's legs. Kneipp is fighting the takedown attempt but Lee gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Lee working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kneipp's head. Lee content to stall in guard here. Lee won't allow Kneipp to sweep him here. Lee stands and throws Kneipp's legs to the side, diving into side control. #T4# Lee controls the position. Kneipp takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Kevin Lee dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Lee darts in looking for a takedown but Kneipp gets double underhooks and turns Lee into the cage. #TD# Kneipp gets the takedown into side control. Lee can't do much from the bottom here. Kneipp seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Lee is not content to let Kneipp control the position. Lee has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lee keeping hold of Kneipp's head, controlling as best he can. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Lee works a leg free and moves into half guard. Kneipp has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lee takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kevin Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! #R3# Lee fails with a takedown attempt. Kneipp scores to the head and body with a nice combination!#CUT# It looks like Kevin Lee has been cut. Robert Kneipp is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lee fails in his attempt to clinch. Kneipp tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kneipp misses with a leg kick #TD2# and Lee counters with a single leg into guard. Kneipp didn't expect that. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kneipp tries to clinch #TD2# and Lee decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kneipp's guard. Lee controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kneipp can't keep his opponent in guard - Lee advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. #T3# Lee stops Kneipp from getting back to his feet.

Still in half guard, Lee seems content to control. Lee takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Well, if Lee is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight� I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza� Yum. Can't wait.

Lee seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Kneipp is trying to stand back up but Lee is controlling him

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Lee controlling the action here. #R1# Pennilla shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kneipp but Kneipp pushes him off and we're back to square one. Pennilla tries for a takedown but Kneipp sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kneipp throws a jab when Pennilla was well out of range. Horrible takedown attempt by Pennilla or perhaps it was just good defense by Kneipp, which made it look bad. Robert Kneipp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck Pennilla. Pennilla takes one on the button.#CL# Kneipp clinches. Kneipp lands with a short head shot on the inside. Pennilla wants to take the fight to the mat but Kneipp manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Pennilla tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kneipp smiles and moves away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kneipp tries to close the distance and clinch but Pennilla swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. And Pennilla tries to counter it with a takedown but Kneipp pushes his down on his head and steps out.#T3##CL# Kneipp clinches up against the cage.#TD# Pennilla is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kneipp is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pennilla to the mat. Pennilla regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Kneipp not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kneipp is looking to work some ground and pound but Pennilla has wrist control.#SUB2# Pennilla is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kneipp has his hands clasped together but Pennilla extends and breaks Kneipp's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Pennilla.
