Crenlisten dives in and grabs Shklyarskiy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shklyarskiy pushes down on Crenlisten's head and hops out.
Shklyarskiy wants to counter the offense by Crenlisten and move into the clinch position.

Shklyarskiy creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Crenlisten's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Crenlisten drops to his knees and Shklyarskiy pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

You can see the frustration on Crenlisten's face as Benoit controls the position.
Crenlisten is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Benoit asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Benoit content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
