Coates is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Williams has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Coates is looking to defend but Williams has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Coates! Williams pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Coates taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Pat Williams!
A very excited looking Pat Williams rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Chimper closes the distance and clinches up with Coates, looking for a takedown. Chimper pushes Coates against the cage but Coates circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Chimper shoots for a double leg takedown but Coates sprawls well. He's pushed Chimper's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sloppy strikes from Coates. Those never looked like landing.
Coates works over Chimper's head and body with a nice combination.
Coates fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Chimper has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Coates looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Chimper's coach down at Arvins Bootcamp was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Chimper's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Horrible takedown attempt by Chimper or perhaps it was just good defense by Coates, which made it look bad.

After the fight, Jake Chimper was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Coates is looking for the big counter here.
Coates misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mccoy dodges the punch combination from Coates.
Mccoy tries to score with a low kick but Coates moves his leg out of the way.
Mccoy lands with a kick to the temple. Coates shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" #CL#
Mccoy pushes Coates up against the cage in a clinch.
Coates lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Mccoy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Coates throws a head kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Coates lands a left and a right that send Mccoy crashing to the mat, dazed. Coates thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#ROC2#

It looks like Stanford Mccoy has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Coates misses with a head kick.
Oh Mccoy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Coates lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Mccoy is breathing heavily.
Mccoy drops his hands for a split second and Coates immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Mccoy face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Coates follows up with a right hand that knocks Mccoy into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
