Samuel tries to free his leg and advance position but Mikkonen is retaining full guard.
Mikkonen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Samuel wants to control from the top but Mikkonen keeps moving.
Samuel not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Samuel drops back looking for a leg! Mikkonen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mikkonen manages to kick Samuel off! Samuel jumps back into Mikkonen's guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Samuel postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Manu Mikkonen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Buel Samuel stepped up to the mic, saying 'The trouble with being a good sport is that you have to lose to prove it'.

No joy there for Canseco , who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Samuel manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Canseco on his heels. He'll look to pass Canseco 's guard now, I'm sure.
Samuel stays in close to Canseco 's body and controls the position.
Canseco has momentary wrist control but Samuel slips an elbow through the middle.#SUB2#
Samuel is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Canseco is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Canseco has escaped and now he's on top! #REVR##SUB2#
Samuel is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Canseco has his hands clasped together but Samuel extends and breaks Canseco 's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Samuel.

A pretty intense looking Buel Samuel took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.

Canseco tries to bum rush Samuel with a series of wild strikes but Samuel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.#KD#
Oooooh!!! Canseco has knocked Samuel down with a huge combo! Canseco steps away and waves a wobbly Samuel back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!#CUT#
It looks like Buel Samuel has been cut.
Canseco throws a series of punches but Samuel avoids them all with ease.
Samuel with the counter takedown but Canseco avoids it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Canseco throws a nice looking combination but Samuel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Samuel should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Samuel gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Canseco gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Jose Canseco spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
