#R1##TD2# Cone closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Battle is looking to get back to is feet but Cone passes into side control.
#SUB2# Cone tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Battle gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Cone is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cone trying to control the action but Battle is working from the bottom. Battle tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Cone manages to move to mount!
#T1##SUB2# Cone is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Battle can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Battle on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Battle tries to get out of the position. Cone tries to control but Battle wriggling away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Battle throwing hammer fists to the chest of Cone. What's that going to do exactly? Cone tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Battle working to try and regain half guard.

Battle looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Cone puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Battle missing with punches from the bottom.
Cone passes the guard and advances to mount! Cone trying to control but he's not successful this time. Battle tries to hold on but Cone pushes him away. Cone pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Battle has been working on his balance at Vinny’s Gym *MLC sponsored gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Cone.#TD# Battle jumps guard and drags Cone to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Battle wants to stand up but Cone is controlling him. #T2# Cone wants to pass the guard but Battle is keeping the position. Cone prevents Battle from getting back to his feet. Battle will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Battle can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cone controls the pace. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Cone's coach down at Vinny’s Gym *MLC sponsored gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Cone's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Cone utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Cone's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Cone jumps guard but Battle turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. The referee is keeping an eye on Battle - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
A frustrated look appears on Battle's face as he tries to break the clinch. Battle tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Battle keeping moving, preventing Cone from controlling successfully. Battle is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cone is controlling him. Battle trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Cone trying to control the position from guard on top but Battle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cone throwing strikes but missing. #R1# Battle shoots in looking for a takedown. James tries to sprawl out of it but Battle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. James manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. James fails with the takedown#TD# and Battle counters with a single leg into guard. James didn't expect that. Battle won't allow James to get back to his feet. Battle with a flurry of punches that miss. Battle not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Battle's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.#T1##SUB2# James is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Chris Battle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. James wants to control his opponent's hands but Battle gets his hands free. You can see the frustration on James's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

#R1##TD# Battle closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hogan to the mat! Hogan manages to get full guard. Battle wants to control from the top but Hogan keeps moving. Hogan being controlled here, momentarily. #SUB2# Hogan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Battle scoring with punches to the head and body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Battle trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hogan's guard. Hogan throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Battle trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. #T1# Battle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Battle is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Hogan goes for a double leg but Battle avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Battle continues to drive forward. Hogan tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.#TD# Battle throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hogan seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Battle paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Battle's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Hogan picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Hollywood Hogan! After the fight, Hollywood Hogan was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Battle seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Bates shoots in for a takedown but Battle shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Battle closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bates circles away. Bates fails with a takedown attempt from distance. It appears Battle was looking to counter with a kick there. Bates thows a body kick. Battle tries to catch it but that hurt him. #CL2# Bates forces Battle back against the cage and clinches.#TD# Battle is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bates can't fight it off and eventually Battle manages to take the fight to the floor. Bates looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Battle won't allow Bates to sweep him here. Bates stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bates wants it to stay on the feet. It seemed like Bates was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.#CL2# Bates fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Battle, pushing him back against the cage. Bates blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Bates tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Battle tries to get out of the position.#SUB# Battle is looking for a triangle but Reigns pushes his legs off easily.
