We've been told by Stewart's head coaches at The PIT Hawaiian Kempo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Stewart takes a shot to the body in his stride.

A combination from Savage does no damage.
Savage connects with a good right hand that stumbles Stewart. Stewart circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stewart is rocked!
Stewart walks straight into a right hand from Savage - that's dropped him! Savage jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Stewart from any more punishment! Stewart complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Some wild striking there from Mkubwa.
Stewart tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Mkubwa manages to circle out of the way.
Mkubwa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Stewart is looking to counter the offense by Mkubwa and move into the clinch.
Mkubwa dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Mkubwa misses with a wild body shot.
Mkubwa looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mkubwa lands with a straight right. Stewart didn't see that one coming.#CUT2#
It looks like Ricardo Stewart has been cut.
Mkubwa scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Stewart gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Stewart tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Mkubwa is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Stewart buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Stewart!! Stewart is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Mkubwa throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Oakerson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Oakerson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stewart with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

A very excited looking Lowell Bockert rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
