Melodies swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Berghen has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Berghen shoots in looking for a takedown. Gallagher tries to sprawl out of it but Berghen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gallagher manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Berghen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gallagher tries to avoid it but Berghen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gallagher to the ground. Gallagher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
