Van Hoost jumps guard and drags Hudson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Hudson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Van Hoost keeping moving, preventing Hudson from controlling successfully.
Hudson works a leg free and moves into half guard. #SUB2#
Hudson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Nice takedown defense from Van Hoost. No joy for Maia on that attempt.
Van Hoost looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maia is fending him off so far but Van Hoost persists. Nope, Maia circles away and we're back to standing.
Van Hoost moves into range and connects with a jab.
Van Hoost is looking to clinch.
Maia attempts a counter takedown but Van Hoost avoids it well and moves away.
A nice combination there by Van Hoost.
Maia misses with a double jab.
