Lothario drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We've been hearing that Lothario has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Tonkin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lothario controls the pace.

John shoots in looking for a takedown. Tonkin tries to sprawl out of it but John keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tonkin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tonkin pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces John back to the cage. Tonkin follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from John lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tonkin has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tonkin and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
