Hurley creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Austin's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Austin drops to his knees and Hurley pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Austin working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

As Austin backs off Root throws a huge counter combo but Austin manages to avoid it all.
Austin swings for the body but Root moves out of range.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mario Buzrov.
Well Austin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
