James Ritchie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ritchie throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Finnigan.

Ritchie's coach down at Kung Fu Fighting Club ($120 entry fee) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ritchie's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Ritchie might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Finnigan has got the better of the exchanges.

Finnigan rushes Ritchie with punches - Ritchie moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Ritchie goes down! Finnigan follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hardy enables Ritchie to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hardy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ritchie is working Hardy over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Hardy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ritchie wants to control from the top but Hardy keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ritchie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hardy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ritchie throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ritchie throws a big right hand that misses.
Ritchie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

A less than humble James Ritchie misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

Mann quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Mann jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ritchie walks away with a smile on his face. Mann gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. #CL2#
