Apple has hold of one of Barrera's legs. Barrera is fighting the takedown attempt but Apple gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB#
Barrera is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Apple is aware though and is defending well.

Barrera is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Apple rolls with it to try and escape but Barrera cranks on the arm and Apple is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Jones gets in close and tags Barrera with a short punch that almost sends Barrera to the mat! Oh Barrera is in big trouble! He turns his back on Jones, trying to create some distance but Jones rushes him, striking wildly and Barrera goes down! The referee tackles Jones into the cage to end the fight! Jones is one violent man!

Kid misses with a double jab.
Kid ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barrera moves away.#CL#
Kid tries to keep at a distance but Barrera has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kid misses with a punch on the inside.
Barrera has Kid pressed against the cage, preventing Kid from circling away and getting back to striking at range.#TD2#
Kid gets control of Barrera's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kid will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Barrera trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kid's guard.
Kid wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kid connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Barrera to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Kid!

Reis closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Reis working the ground and pound.
Reis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barrera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Barrera wants to control but Reis postures up.
A big shot lands for Reis! That's hurt Barrera! Will he recover? Reis fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
