Vargas doesn't manage to clinch there - Connor circles away.
Connor throws a big counter combination but Vargas scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.#CL2#
Vargas moves into the clinch.
Connor wants a takedown.
With the fighters up against the cage, Vargas throws an elbow but misses. #TD#
Connor has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Vargas uses from the top position.
Connor pulls Vargas in to control the position.
Connor is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR#

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vargas keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Connor's efforts to push away.
Vargas is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Connor is keeping busy.

Connor working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vargas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vargas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jimmie Connor spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
