And Garcia tries to counter it with a takedown but Hamilton pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Garcia has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Garcia there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hamilton tries to clinch but Garcia moves away #TD2#
so Garcia counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Hamilton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Garcia on the ground.
Hamilton has Garcia pulled in close to control his posture.
Garcia not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Hamilton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Garcia moves away.

That was a close round but I would say that Shelby Hamilton will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Garcia felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Weeks tries to clinch up but Garcia circles away and keeps his distance.#CL#

Garcia is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Weeks is defending well.

Weeks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Cooke closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Garcia gets full guard.
Cooke will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cooke loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cooke being controlled here momentarily.
Garcia looking for a sweep. Not yet Garcia, not yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
