Crusher decides to pull guard.
Crusher is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
De Kock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crusher swivels though and keeps the full guard.
De Kock will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Kock is working hard here to advance position.
De Kock sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Crusher's guard. #T1#

and Holt counters with a shoot takedown. De Kock fights it but they end up in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Holt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
De Kock wants to stand but Holt is controlling the position.
Holt throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as De Kock works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Holt slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

De Kock pushes Holt away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Holt gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Holt throws a strike aimed at the side of De Kock's head but De Kock avoids it well.
De Kock seems a little lost for a moment, as Holt dominates the positioning.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The strikes coming from Holt are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
De Kock is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Whack! De Kock lands a heavy head kick that drops Holt. The ref tackles De Kock to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Holt was done.
