Dirt gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Clay grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Dirt takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Clay cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Marcellus Clay!
Marcellus Clay seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.

Ellis is trying to maintain the position but Dirt is very close to passing his half guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Dirt working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Ellis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dirt is nestled in close to Ellis, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.#T3#

Joe Dirt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ellis misses with a takedown attempt - Dirt sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vaughn Ellis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ellis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Dirt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ellis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dirt throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Osborn was covering up waiting for the punch and Dirt finishes the takedown easily into guard. #ES#

Dirt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Osborn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Osborn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
