Vassily Solomin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as DeSalvo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Solomin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as DeSalvo controls the pace.
DeSalvo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
DeSalvo passes Solomin's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Butler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Solomin.
Butler tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Solomin defends well and Butler ends up having to push Solomin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
