Potap Kononov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Karjalainen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kononov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kononov fails to land the takedown.
Karjalainen went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Teemu Karjalainen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Potap Kononov.

Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ben Henley and Potap Kononov. Potap Kononov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 3 losses; Ben Henley! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 3 losses; Potap Kononov!
