Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Vicious (ranked 24588 p4p, 568 weight class) and Colby Vovigton (ranked 24519 p4p, 559 weight class). Vovigton is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: New york kurt angel. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vovigton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vicious as he avoids it easily.
Vicious cracks Vovigton with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

We've been hearing reports that Vicious has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Mikey Vicious has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Colby Vovigton.
Vovigton shoots for a takedown but Vicious saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Vovigton is looking for a triangle but Vicious pushes his legs off easily.

Vovigton has his foot on Vicious's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vicious works his way back into a safe position though.

Vovigton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vicious doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vicious manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Vovigton tries to get to full guard but Vicious has control of the leg.

Vicious is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vovigton doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vicious.

Vovigton closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Vicious is trying to escape back to his feet but Vovigton uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Vovigton has an Americana. Vicious didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Vovigton is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Vovigton hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Colby Vovigton decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
