Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between TwoPiece Soda (ranked 24590 p4p, 479 weight class) and Gregor Granitschov (ranked 4440 p4p, 405 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, TwoPiece Soda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gregor Granitschov!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soda throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Soda is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Granitschov's half guard.
Soda will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Soda's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Soda is looking to work some ground and pound but Granitschov has wrist control.

Granitschov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Soda can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Granitschov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Granitschov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Soda wants to pass the guard but Granitschov is keeping the position.
Soda postures up and lands a big shot to Granitschov's brow.
Soda makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Soda is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Granitschov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Soda is really struggling to control Granitschov but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Soda closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Granitschov to the mat! Granitschov manages to get full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Granitschov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
As Granitschov tries to get set, Soda tries to push him back and clinch up but Granitschov manages to avoid the attempt.

Soda closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Granitschov's guard.

Soda drops back looking for a leg! Granitschov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Granitschov manages to kick Soda off! Soda jumps back into Granitschov's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that TwoPiece Soda will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Granitschov shoots in looking for a takedown but Soda manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Granitschov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Granitschov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Soda defends it easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to TwoPiece Soda.
Well Soda has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
