Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Igor Potempkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duncan misses with a series of wild punches.

Potempkin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Potempkin moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Duncan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Potempkin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Duncan pushes Potempkin off looking to stand but Potempkin dives back in and keeps control.
Potempkin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Duncan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Duncan misses with a head kick.
Potempkin checks a leg kick.
Duncan throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Potempkin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Potempkin is landing with some decent strikes but Duncan is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Duncan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Duncan throws a leg kick which misses Potempkin's front leg but catches the back leg as Potempkin tries to avoid it.
Duncan lands a nice looking kick to the body. Potempkin takes a step back to recover.

A solid leg kick lands there for Duncan.
Potempkin takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Duncan lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Duncan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Potempkin slips under a jab from Duncan.
Potempkin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Duncan can pounce on him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Duncan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Duncan throws a sloppy head kick and Potempkin moves out of range easily.
Potempkin throws a right and a left that both miss.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Potempkin checks a leg kick.
Duncan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Potempkin doesn't seem bothered though.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Duncan - that will leave a mark!
Duncan misses with a low kick.
Duncan throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Duncan takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Duncan looks to land a body kick but Potempkin moved away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Duncan.
Duncan throws out a leg kick but Potempkin moves out of range and Duncan only half commits.
Duncan scores with a hook.
Potempkin blocks the body kick.
Duncan throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Potempkin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Duncan circles away.
Duncan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Potempkin moves away.

Crowley Duncan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Potempkin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Duncan pinned against the cage. Duncan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Duncan throws out a loose jab but Potempkin uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Potempkin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Duncan won't be happy with that.

Duncan takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Potempkin cracks Duncan with a big elbow.
Potempkin scores with a couple of short elbows.
Duncan stops Potempkin from passing to mount.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Crowley Duncan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Duncan throws a push kick but Potempkin slaps the foot to one side.
Duncan throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Duncan is looking to chop away at Potempkin's legs.
Potempkin looks for a takedown but Duncan sprawls well.
Crowley Duncan seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Potempkin laying and praying for a moment but Duncan takes advantage and regains half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
BOOM! Potempkin connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Potempkin unloads with some shots from mount but Duncan bucks and avoids them well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
