Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Javier Pinales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Kev McKill !

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Javier Pinales has been cut.
Pinales seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
McKill lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
McKill misses with an uppercut.
A little feinted left hand from Pinales on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
McKill looks to land a combination but Pinales avoids it well.

McKill lands a left and a right that send Pinales crashing to the mat, dazed. McKill thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Pinales is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McKill swings for the body but Pinales moves out of range.
Pinales takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Pinales walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
McKill misses with a wild combination.
McKill swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pinales looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
McKill swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McKill stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McKill wants it to stay on the feet.

Pinales changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McKill tries to avoid it but Pinales manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McKill to the ground. McKill escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Pinales has taken the fight to the clinch.
Pinales avoiding damage as McKill throws knees to the body.
McKill is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
McKill throws a punch but it's blocked by Pinales.
McKill lands a nice uppercut.
McKill throws an elbow that misses.
McKill working some nice short punches in the clinch.
McKill tries to work over Pinales's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
McKill crunches a lovely knee into Pinales's ribcage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from McKill .

McKill misses with a hook to the ribs.
Come on McKill - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
McKill has a couple of punches blocked by Pinales.
McKill misses with an elbow over the top.
McKill working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Pinales is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. McKill can't fight it off and eventually Pinales manages to take the fight to the floor. McKill looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Pinales is working for a kimura but McKill is defending it quite comfortably.

Pinales is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McKill defends it well.

Pinales seems to be working for a kimura but McKill defends the submission attempt.

Pinales is trying to work for a kimura but McKill is defending well.
McKill wants to control but Pinales is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Pinales wants to work for an arm triangle but McKill is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
McKill has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

McKill bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
McKill fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pinales drops down looking for a counter takedown but McKill sprawls and moves away.
McKill misses with a straight right.

Pinales closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
McKill regains full guard. Nicely done.

Pinales drops back, looking for a kneebar! McKill looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McKill looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McKill !

McKill wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pinales keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McKill fails to land a wild elbow strike.
McKill has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Pinales is working to avoid the ground and pound but McKill connects with a decent elbow.
Pinales looks to move to half guard but instead McKill has passed into mount! Damn!

McKill lands a couple of good shots and Pinales has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
McKill tries to keep control of the position but Pinales is staying busy.
Pinales is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
McKill doesn't have the hooks in and Pinales manages to turn into his guard.

Javier Pinales overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pinales tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McKill wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
McKill connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Pinales some visible discomfort.
Pinales is looking to regain half guard here but McKill keeps moving and retains side control.
McKill trying to control the action but Pinales is working from the bottom.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McKill is chipping away with strikes.

McKill throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
McKill is looking to take a break and control but Pinales is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pinales tries to get back to half guard but can't.
McKill cracks Pinales with a big elbow.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pinales is looking for a sweep.
McKill throwing shots but missing, from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McKill takes a little break here. Pinales wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
McKill landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
McKill misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
McKill looks up at the clock and then as Pinales takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, McKill smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
McKill wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pinales keeps working.

Kev McKill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

McKill moves in looking to clinch but Pinales pushes him off.
Pinales changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Pinales on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Nice takedown defense from McKill . No joy for Pinales on that attempt.
Pinales takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

McKill works the jab nicely.
McKill throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McKill tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pinales paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pinales is looking to counter the offense by McKill and move into the clinch.

Kev McKill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McKill swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Pinales tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pinales has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pinales working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

McKill wants to control but Pinales postures up.

McKill wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Pinales seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! McKill is tapping! Wow, great finish!
