Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Erwin Rommel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Haim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Haim's choice of entrance music: Whatever Happened To Corey Haim?. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Erwin Rommel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corey Haim!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haim shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rommel but Rommel pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Rommel has Haim up against the cage in a clinch.
Haim is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Rommel is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Haim prevents a takedown attempt there.
Rommel drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erwin Rommel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Haim manages to pull guard.
Rommel wants to pass the guard but Haim is keeping the position.

Rommel looking to sit in guard and control but Haim gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rommel manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Rommel prevents Haim from getting the reversal.
Haim blocking the ground and pound.
Haim tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Rommel looking to control but Haim is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Rommel misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rommel swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Haim is now in Rommel's guard. A big mistake from Rommel there, giving up the dominant position!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rommel is looking to sweep but instead, Haim has passed into half guard.
Rommel moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rommel wants to control the position but Haim says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Rommel tries to roll over but Haim keeps him under control.
Haim wants to pass the guard but Rommel is defending well.
Rommel is looking for a sweep. Haim is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Haim is working for a kimura but Rommel is defending it quite comfortably.
Haim looks gassed!
Haim is thwarting Rommel's attempts to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Corey Haim dominated that round.

Haim misses with a head kick.
Haim throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rommel.
Rommel moves out of range of the body kick from Haim.
Haim shoots for a double leg takedown but Rommel sprawls well. He's pushed Haim's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Rommel feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Haim lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.
Rommel is stalling here. Haim is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Rommel seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Haim has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Rommel is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Haim's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rommel wants to improve his position but Haim is controlling well.

Rommel wants to control but Haim is keeping him busy.

Haim is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Rommel is tapping! Great win for Haim!
