Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dominik Marino (ranked 4559 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Slovak (ranked 3673 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dominik Marino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cole Slovak!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Marino as Slovak shoots in.

Marino dives in and scores a takedown into Slovak's guard.

Marino has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marino drops back, looking for a kneebar! Slovak looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Slovak looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Slovak!

Marino is looking to regain half guard here but Slovak keeps moving and retains side control.

Marino is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Slovak is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Marino sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

That was a close round but I would say that Dominik Marino will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Slovak looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marino is fending him off so far but Slovak persists. Nope, Marino circles away and we're back to standing.

Marino has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Slovak is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Marino is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Slovak knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Marino wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slovak keeps working.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Marino is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Slovak is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Marino.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Marino accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Slovak isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Marino stacks Slovak on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Marino!
Marino misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Marino seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Slovak for as long as he can get away with.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

I would just about give that final round to Cole Slovak.
