Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Kowalski (ranked 4705 p4p, 160 weight class) and Pan Poraszka (ranked 4025 p4p, 96 weight class). Pan Poraszka acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Piotr Kowalski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pan Poraszka!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kowalski bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kowalski remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Poraszka is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Poraszka can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kowalski controls the pace.
Poraszka will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Poraszka thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Kowalski shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Poraszka manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Poraszka had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kowalski defends it easily.
Poraszka is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poraszka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kowalski swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kowalski is pulling down on Poraszka's head to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Kowalski shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kowalski lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Poraszka is looking to control Kowalski's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Poraszka avoid being mounted?

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kowalski takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Poraszka is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kowalski pulls his head out easily.
Poraszka is breathing heavily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Still in half guard, Kowalski seems content to control.
Poraszka gets full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Poraszka tries to keep at a distance but Kowalski has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kowalski is staying active underneath Poraszka, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

and Kowalski counters with a crisp one two that drops Poraszka! Kowalski thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Poraszka to his feet! Poraszka is in big trouble!
Poraszka takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Poraszka throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kowalski circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Poraszka drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Kowalski follows Poraszka to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Piotr Kowalski!
