Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Piger Whok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jiro Takahashi!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Whok closes the distance and pushes Takahashi back into the ropes.
Whok keeps control of Takahashi as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Takahashi wants to get back to striking at distance but Whok won't allow it.
Whok gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.


It looks like Jiro Takahashi has been cut.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Whok creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Whok goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Takahashi avoids the elbow strike from Whok, against the ropes.
Takahashi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Whok landing knees to the body.
Whok works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Takahashi tries to break the clinch but Whok is controlling the position.
Takahashi avoids the elbow strike from Whok, against the ropes.
Takahashi is trying to break the clinch but Whok has him pressed against the ropes.
Whok using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Takahashi looks winded!
Whok comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Whok scores a nice knee to the body.
Whok gets through Takahashi's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Takahashi wants to break the clinch but can't.
Whok creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Takahashi's defenses.
Whok with an attempt at a knee that misses.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Whok.
Whok connects with a nasty looking knee right to Takahashi's face.


That has opened up Jiro Takahashi's cut even more.

Whok lands with a short shot to the head.
Whok lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


Takahashi is rocked!
Whok has his opponent in a tight Thai clinch and unloads with a massive knee that drops Takahashi to the canvas! Can Takahashi beat the count? 3,4,5,6 and he's up... is he? Yes, he's up! The referee is taking a long look at him and he's waved off the fight! He didn't think Takahashi was in a fit state to continue so this fight is over! Whok is your winner!
