The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Masvidal but Masvidal pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Smith tests Masvidal's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Masvidal with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Masvidal avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Masvidal drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Smith trying to control but Masvidal flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Smith is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Masvidal is looking to control Smith but Smith is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Masvidal wants to sweep but no luck.

Masvidal pulls Smith in close to his closed guard and prevents Smith from doing any damage or advancing position.
Masvidal is working an open guard so Smith takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Masvidal counters with a left to the body.

Masvidal has taken the fight to the clinch.
Smith drops down looking for an ankle pick but Masvidal pulls his leg out and moves away.
Smith slaps away a takedown attempt from Masvidal, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Masvidal lands a head kick. Smith smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Masvidal rushes Smith and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Masvidal misses with a double jab.
Smith darts in looking for a takedown but Masvidal gets double underhooks and turns Smith into the cage.

Smith fails with the takedown.
Smith is breathing heavily.

Masvidal drops Smith with a big knee straight up the middle! Smith is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Masvidal throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Smith crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
