Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Petey Lavendar!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lavendar dives in and grabs Bera's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bera pushes down on Lavendar's head and hops out.

Lavendar moves into the clinch successfully.
Lavendar keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bera's efforts to push away.

Bera jumps guard and drags Lavendar to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Bera wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Lavendar wants to control from the top but Bera keeps moving.

Bera working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lavendar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lavendar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lavendar is working for takedown but Bera is calmly controlling the position for now.

Bera has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Lavendar has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Lavendar might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bera haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Lavendar shoots in for a double leg but Bera sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lavendar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bera but Bera pushes him off and we're back to square one.
As Lavendar backs away, Bera returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Bera closes the distance and clinches up with Lavendar, looking for a takedown. Bera pushes Lavendar against the cage but Lavendar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bera throws a solid leg kick but Lavendar takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Bera.

Lavendar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Lavendar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lavendar shoots in looking for a takedown. Bera tries to sprawl out of it but Lavendar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bera manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ken Bera.
I think Bera has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
