The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Addams closes the distance and clinches.

It looks like Mike Hype has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Addams tries to move into full mount but can't pass Hype's legs.
Addams goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hype rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Addams's guard! Nice work there by Hype!

Addams is refusing to be controlled, as Hype sits in half guard.

and Addams counters with a low kick, right behind Hype 's knee.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Addams finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Hype throws the left hand but Addams avoids the punch easily.
Hype throws a looping overhand right but Addams ducks down to avoid it.
Addams has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hype is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Mike Hype seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Addams moves into range and clinches up with Hype.
Hype is trying to break free.
Addams lands an elbow inside that Hype shrugs off.
Hype is trying to force a seperation but Addams has the dominant position.

Hype is trying to break the clinch but Addams is controlling him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

With the fighters up against the cage, Addams throws an elbow but misses.
Oh Hype is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Addams drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Addams lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hype's sensitive parts.
Addams moves out of range as Hype strikes.
Addams is trying to counter with his kicks.
Hype tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Hype throws an overhand right that lands on Addams's shoulder, as Addams tries to avoid the shot.
Addams motions for Hype to come forward. Addams throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Addams instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Addams lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Hype is pressed against the cage. Addams pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Hype! Two more big strikes from Addams and Hype crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
