Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lemony Snicket (ranked 2203 p4p, 219 weight class) and Khabib Nurmagomedov (ranked 3125 p4p, 287 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lemony Snicket!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Khabib Nurmagomedov!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Donatello Bradman and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurmagomedov fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Nurmagomedov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Snicket manages to avoid it.
Snicket throws a body shot but no joy.
Nurmagomedov throws a sloppy body shot
and Snicket cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Nurmagomedov goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Snicket is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Nurmagomedov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Nurmagomedov counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
No joy there for Snicket, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nurmagomedov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Nurmagomedov lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Snicket quite badly. Snicket pulls Nurmagomedov in close trying to recover. Nurmagomedov postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Snicket on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Snicket doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Khabib Nurmagomedov!
Khabib Nurmagomedov decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
