Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bill Goldberg!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goldberg ducks under a wild hook from Murley.
Goldberg slips under a jab.
Bill Goldberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Murley moves away from the strike by Goldberg.
Goldberg throws a body punch but Murley moves out of range.
Goldberg thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Murley if he has to take too many more of those.
Goldberg bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

A looping hook to the body misses from Murley. Goldberg does a little dance to reset his feet.

Murley lands with an uppercut that bounces Goldberg off the cage and back into range.
Goldberg shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Murley eats them both and turns towards Goldberg to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Goldberg throws an off balance right hand
and Murley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A telegraphed right hand from Murley misses the target.
Goldberg misses with a few strikes there.
Goldberg misses with the combination.
Goldberg lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Goldberg pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Murley back to the cage. Goldberg follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Scott Murley has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looked like Murley wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Goldberg pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Murley throws a big counter combination but Goldberg scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Murley uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Goldberg.

Murley fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Goldberg's corner calls for a 1-2. Goldberg obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Goldberg works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

and Goldberg takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Goldberg tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Murley misses with a body shot.
Murley slips a jab and a cross from Goldberg.
Murley avoids the body shot from Goldberg.
Murley throws a lazy right hand but Goldberg sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Murley on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Murley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Goldberg.
Goldberg misses with a straight left.
Goldberg will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Murley misses with a hook.
Goldberg displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Murley throws out the jab.
Goldberg thinks about the counter body kick.

Goldberg keeps Murley at a distance using the push kick.
Murley pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Goldberg back to the cage. Murley follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Murley checks a leg kick.
A punch lands to the side of Goldberg 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Goldberg connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Murley's hands.

A decent looking cross lands there for Goldberg.
Goldberg ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Goldberg throws a body shot but no joy.
Goldberg thows a body kick. Murley tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Murley takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Murley might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Murley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Goldberg.
Murley avoids the body shot from Goldberg.
Murley connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Goldberg throws a series of punches but Murley moves out of range.
Bill Goldberg seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Murley lands a left and a right that send Goldberg crashing to the mat, dazed. Murley thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Murley dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Goldberg is still on wobbly legs! Can Murley finish him?
Murley darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Goldberg's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Murley before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
