The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salomanca tries to clinch but Idrisov Ii moves out of range.
Salomanca misses with a body shot
and Idrisov Ii counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Idrisov Ii catches Salomanca with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and Idrisov Ii counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Salomanca tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Salomanca takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Salomanca tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Idrisov Ii paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Idrisov Ii tries to bum rush Salomanca with a series of wild strikes but Salomanca uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A nice side step and Salomanca releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Idrisov Ii was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Carlos Salomanca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Salomanca looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Salomanca gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Idrisov Ii pushes Salomanca back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Idrisov Ii lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Salomanca or not.

Salomanca tries to stall but Idrisov Ii uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Idrisov Ii's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Idrisov Ii cracks Salomanca with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Salomanca is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Salomanca is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Salomanca could not beat the count!

A determined Murat Idrisov Ii didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
