PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wade Clarke (ranked 3388 p4p, 372 weight class) and Kelly Rush (ranked 24675 p4p, 576 weight class). Rush has chosen Diary of Jane as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarke tries to clinch up but Rush circles away and keeps his distance.
Rush slaps away a takedown attempt from Clarke, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Clarke moves into the clinch successfully.
Rush is looking to break free of the clinch but Clarke has double underhooks.
Clarke drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rush gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Clarke throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rush blocks it with crossed arms.
Clarke tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rush avoids it.
Rush is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clarke lands an elbow inside.

Clarke has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Clarke cracks Rush with a big right hand but Rush just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
