Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Atlas (ranked 5026 p4p, 391 weight class) and Mario Price (ranked 5655 p4p, 415 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Daniel Atlas has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Daniel Atlas seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Atlas bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Atlas wants to stand but Price is controlling his arm.
Price is trying to control Atlas's posture but Atlas avoids it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Price is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Atlas is staying active.

Atlas remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
