The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Domicio.
Fires scores with a punch to the head.

It looks like Lucio Domicio has been cut.
Domicio has been working on his balance at Poseidon MMA, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Fires.
Domicio bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A slow jab from Fires misses its intended target.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Domicio lands a nice uppercut.

Domicio has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Fires regains guard immediately.
Domicio is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Domicio seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fires for as long as he can get away with.
Fires really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Domicio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Domicio drops back looking for a leg! Fires is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fires manages to kick Domicio off! Domicio jumps back into Fires's guard.

Fires is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Domicio is cranking Fires's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Fires! He's tightened the choke and Fires is tapping out!
