The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faessi leaves Arnold with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
And Faessi tries to counter it with a takedown but Arnold pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Arnold moves into the clinch successfully.

Faessi tightens his grip and picks Arnold up, before dumping him to the ground. Arnold manages to land in guard.

Arnold wants to sweep but no luck.
Faessi lands a couple of elbows.
Arnold wants to hit a switch here but Faessi passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Arnold there!
Arnold is in all sorts of trouble here.

Faessi is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Arnold has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Faessi manages to capitalize on a mistake by Arnold to take his back!

Faessi has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Arnold! Can he survive? No! He's out! Faessi gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
