Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Murad Tursunboev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abdullah Sajid!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tursunboev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sajid shoots in for a double leg but Tursunboev sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Sajid is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tursunboev sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice uppercut lands for Tursunboev. That snapped Sajid's head back.
Tursunboev shoots in looking for a takedown but Sajid manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tursunboev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sajid will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Murad Tursunboev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abdullah Sajid.

Sajid goes for a double leg but Tursunboev avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Tursunboev continues to drive forward.

Sajid shoots in and bounces Tursunboev off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Tursunboev controls Sajid momentarily but Sajid frees himself.

Sajid drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sajid jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Tursunboev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sajid can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tursunboev is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sajid defends well.

Sajid thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sajid pushes down on Tursunboev's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Tursunboev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sajid on the ground.

Sajid is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tursunboev is just riding it out for now. Sajid eventually gives up the hold.

Tursunboev really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tursunboev is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Sajid is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Tursunboev is surviving well by controlling Sajid's body position as best he can.

Sajid has control of Tursunboev's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Tursunboev regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sajid jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Tursunboev manages to avoid the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
