Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buddy Barnett (ranked 779 p4p, 112 weight class) and Bo Nickal (ranked 152 p4p, 25 weight class). Barnett comes to the ring accompanied by Move. Buddy Barnett had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Barnett looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Barnett is looking to clinch but Nickal is avoiding it.
Nickal ducks under a wild hook from Barnett.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Nickal has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Barnett closes the distance and clinches.
Barnett tries to pull guard but Nickal won't allow it.
Barnett jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nickal walks away with a smile on his face. Barnett gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That kick from Nickal tenderised Barnett's leg. Barnett is trying to keep his angry face on.
Barnett tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Nickal paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nickal fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barnett manages to avoid it.
Barnett shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nickal manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Nickal has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Barnett can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nickal escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Barnett gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Barnett keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Nickal's head.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Barnett's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Barnett lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Nickal is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Barnett scores with a couple of nice shots.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Barnett is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Nickal has managed to free his arm - good work.

Barnett lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Barnett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nickal swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nickal is on top in guard.
Nickal lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Barnett has his foot on Nickal's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nickal works his way back into a safe position though.
Barnett has momentary wrist control but Nickal slips an elbow through the middle.

That's time! Barnett's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Barnett fails with the takedown.

Nickal throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nickal pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Barnett tries to counter by clinching up but Nickal breaks away and moves out of range.

Barnett scores with a nice head shot.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Nickal has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Barnett clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Nickal is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Nickal is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Nickal gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Nickal gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Nickal apologises and we restart here on the feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barnett moves out of range of the strikes.
Nickal throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Barnett wants to clinch.

Nickal closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
